AutoCAD Utility Design 2013 – Reports and Custom Drawing Properties

In AutoCAD Utility Design 2013, you can use AutoCAD custom drawing properties to store information about the project that you are working on.  These properties may include the project name, address, work order number, designer, etc:

Further, you may want to include these properties in any reports that you generate for the project.  For example, for a material list report you may want to view these properties in the report header:

However, by default, custom drawing properties are not accessible via the report designer tool in AUD 2013…until now!  I created a plug-in to make these custom properties available.  You can download it from here.  Place the CADMasters.UtilityDesign.dll file in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Utility Design 2013\bin

Then, in the report designer tool, you can add the plug-in via the Add menu => PlugIn Function => Manage:
