AutoCAD 2012 SP1 Released

Service Pack 1 (SP1, Update 1) has been released for the Windows versions of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT.  No news yet on the Mac update, but given that it was just released on August 16th, that’s not a surprise.

Among fixes, here’s a sampling that we’re excited to see:

  • MText paragraph spacing can now be changed after it’s been set.
  • The block editor is more stable and will not erase your drawing (there was a hotfix for this too, but we’re still ecstatic to have it wrapped into the SP)
  • PDF Underlay stability improved.
  • SNAPGRIDLEGACY option.

If any of the above issues or the ones noted in the readme have been troubling you, I’d encourage you to download the update as soon as you can.

Currently there is no news on other service packs for the vertical products, such as Civil 3D and Plant 3D.  We’ll keep you posted as we find out more.
