Windows 7 SP1 x64 (64-bit) and AutoCAD

Service Pack 1 (SP1) for 64-bit versions of  was recently released.  I doubt that many people have installed it yet.  Especially since most of us have the “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it” mentality.  From my understanding, this update mostly just fixes security issues that were already released as hot fixes.  However, I wanted to install it just to make sure that if anyone called with problems that we would be able to duplicate them and then come to a solution.

I’ve tried the majority of the programs that we sell, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Map 3D, Topobase and Navisworks and have not had any negative effects.  That’s not to say that everyone’s computer will respond the same, since there are many variables that affect how effective these patches are.  My opinion is that if you’re the type of person that is concerned with security holes and wants to have the latest updates, then installing SP1 should not cause any negative problems with the majority of Autodesk software.
